Here's to Helpful Friends...

I'd like to take a second to thank a few helpful friends and to pass on a few tips that even though I've been pregnant before, didn't know. Thanks to everyone who is praying for us and sending happy and uplifting thoughts our way. I really need it. So far the best 2 cents that I've gotten (aside from keep praying) is from a fellow teacher, Mrs. VS, who is very calm and natural. Literally, she and her husband live as organic of a life as possible. When she heard "the news" she ran through the hall and gave me a big hug, then said that she had some excellent organic pregnancy and postpartum products from Earth Mama Angel Baby that she wanted me to try. True to her word, she brought them in today for me to try and told me the following..."The most important thing is to know that you and your baby are alright. Stay calm, talk to your baby even now, don't listen to the what if stories. Even though you lived it, that was a different time. This is a new time and you are not the same as well. Just relax and let your body tell you what to do, it will be wonderful." It was the that was a different time and I am different as well part that stuck in my head and a strange calm came over me...I then told her that I may hire her as my pregnancy coach...LOL Mrs.VS' calmness is not a part of my natural personality...I am pretty orderly and this is supposed to happen in this systematic chain of events kind of person...but I am seriously going to try this listening to my body/calmness thing and see how it goes. The next trick is much more simplistic...hair ties...yep hair ties. Even though I am only 7 weeks, I am noticing a tightening of my waste band ALREADY. I said this to one of my friends and she said, "Well Duh...isn't this your 3rd pregnancy? Now Your body knows and just kinda assumes the position! It's not like the first time when you don't show until you're giving birth". I had to laugh at that. Also, it doesn't help that I have no torso to speak of. Literally I have about 3 inches between the top of my hip bone and my ribs, so there's really no place for anything to go but out. A different friend, Mrs. RC, with the same vertically challenged stature as me, told me that she looped hair ties through the button hole of her jeans and around the button to hold off buying maternity pants. I thought...geeze why didn't I think of that!! So I tried it tonight and it absolutely works...I am sooooo going to be doing this as long as possible!! I'm also checking out the site www.earthmamaangelbaby.com , it looks like they have got some really great organic products for just about everything and some of their baby products are now being used in hospitals for newborns. Have any of you heard of this site before??? If so, let me know and I'll combine your thoughts in my review post of the products. Have a Blessed Day, April
